History Of Tartan Print - Today tartan may be mostly associated with Scotland; however, the earliest evidence of tartan is found far afield from the British Isles. According to the textile historian E. J. W. Barber, the Hallstatt culture of Central Europe, which is linked with ancient Celtic populations and flourished between the 8th and 6th centuries BC, produced tartan-like textiles. Some of them were recently discovered, remarkably preserved, in Salzburg, Austria

More Recently in the winter of 2013 the trend of Tartan print in clothing has sprung up in Fashion shows. Dresses, Trouser, Shirts you name it the catwalk was over flowing with the horizontal and perpendicular lines each print with its own vibrant colours.

Here are a few tips and tricks to rock that favourite tartan shift dress or Bottoms.

This Specific Tartan Shift dress has a bit of flavour with the added leather sleeves if you can't find a dress like this you can always DIY your own flavour to a tartan shift dress for example add studs if thats your thing sow patches if that her thing. Or you can always buy some p.u leather and sow the sleeves on yourself when it comes to dressing being creative is a bonus because you can have anything not matter the cost buy using your own to hands and it will be 100x better then if you got it from a shop. you can also wear jeans under a shift dress it has no shape to it so it won't look weird or over dressed (get it). and accessorise pair this dress with a collar necklace chancy bangles or a watch and thin ring and midi rings.

Tartan Trousers or bottoms when fitted right can flatter you and give you that extra smooth curve look with all the lines and bright colours it will distract peoples eyes from the imperfection you crave to hide and point there pupils to the patter the lines will bend to your shape not alter your shape but just lay in your curves and not lumps. the leather panels on the side of these bottoms are very trendy and a good topic to talk about next tartan is varied in colour and size so if red isn't your thing you have multiple choices and tartan come in other items of clothes such as scarf to socks even jewellery. when wearing fitted trousers you can do anything at the top half of your body wear a jumper a fitted t or a crop always match the top half to one of the colours of the lines in these trousers black would be the matching colour.
